PPES COMPREHENSIVE MATHEMATICS PROGRAM
The PPES Math Program is not structured by age or grade level, but by a student’s own pace, and is composed of mini assignments that progress through increasingly difficult mathematics skills. Every assignment is timed and graded. Students master skills through repetition and cannot progress to a new skill before completing an assignment within a set amount of time and with close to 100% accuracy. New skills and exercises build on previously mastered concepts.
The PPES Math curriculum is designed to enhance problem solving and reasoning skills using grade level math vocabulary. The curriculum includes place value, number theories and the operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with and without regrouping. It also covers comparing, ordering, and rounding of whole numbers and money, geometry and measurement, and fractions. The students learn to collect, record, interpret, predict, and construct different types of graphs.
